Tax matters under Pemerkasa

Our Prime Minister announced PEMERKASA+ on 31 May 2021. Valued at RM40 billion including RM5 billion of direct fiscal injection.

01We shall cover tax matters under Pemerkasa :

1. Taxpayers can appeal to LHDN :
   1. Penalties
   2. Re-schedule payment of outstanding tax
2. Special deduction for rental discount to tenants
   A special tax deduction on 30% reduction of rental to SME tenants from 1/7/21 to 31/12/21. T&C apply.
3. HRDF levy exemption
   HRDF levy exemption extended to all registered employers for June 2021 only.
4. Wages Subsidy Program (WSP) 3.0
   WSP 3.0 extended for another 1 month only for economic sectors affected under the lockdown. T&C apply.
5. Sales tax exemption for the purchase of passenger cars
   Sales tax exemption (50% & 100%) extended for another 6 months until 31/12/21.
6. Extension of stamp duty under the Home Ownership Campaign
   Stamp duty exemption on loan agreement and instrument of transfer extended to 31/12/21. T&C apply
